We are actively seeking dedicated clinicians with a strong passion for working alongside individuals of all age groups who have complex needs, as well as their families. As an Occupational Therapist, you will demonstrate a commitment to helping children realise their full potential and flourish in their daily lives.

Currently, we are in search of a compassionate and skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to become a member of our dynamic team.  In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enabling children with developmental challenges and disabilities to lead enriching lives. You will provide evidence-based therapy services to children and young people ranging from 0 to 25 years of age, nurturing their independence and empowering them to overcome obstacles. You will assess, plan, and implement individualised treatment plans, collaborating closely with families and a their care team to achieve holistic progress and lasting results.

In addition, you will demonstrating excellent initiative and self-directed work practices.  You will have the ability to respond efficiently to demands and prioritise tasks to effectively manage competing deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively communicate with clients, families, and other professionals.

About You

Knowledge and abilities:

  • Be passionate about working and collaborating with neurodiverse individuals across the life span and their family members.
  • Experience in Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for neurodiverse individuals.
  • Ability to assess functional capacity and implement interventions to build independence and confidence.
  • Excellent initiative and self-directed work practices
  • Respond to demands quickly and efficiently and prioritising to manage competing deadlines pro-actively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Education, Qualifications and Certification:

  • Bachelor or Masters of Occupational Therapy
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with APRHA
  • Member of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Current National Police Record Check
  • Employment Working with Children Check
