How We Help

A Speech and Language Assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s communication abilities, including their understanding and use of language, speech clarity, and social communication skills. These assessments are suitable for children and adolescnets, helping to identify strengths and areas requiring support.

What’s Involved

  • Parent/Client Interview (1 hour): A discussion of developmental history, communication concerns, and goals for the assessment.
  • Standardised Speech and Language Testing (1-2 hours): An evaluation of expressive and receptive language skills, articulation, fluency, and voice quality.
  • Observation in Natural Settings (Optional, 1 hour + travel): Assessment of communication in a familiar environment, such as home or school.
  • Feedback Session (1 hour): A review of findings, discussion of strengths, and recommendations for intervention.
  • Comprehensive Report: A detailed report outlining assessment results and personalised therapy strategies.

Duration

The assessment is usually completed over three to five sessions.
